Privacy Policy

Dew Crew ("the app") is developed by Bruce Wolfson ("we," "us"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Dew Crew.
The short version
Dew Crew doesn't have a server, doesn't collect analytics, doesn't show ads, and doesn't ask you to create an account. Your to-do lists live on your device and sync between your own devices through your personal iCloud account. We never see them.
What data Dew Crew handles, and where it goes
Your to-do lists and items. The lists you create, the items in them, due dates, and which Crew character you've assigned are stored on your device and synced across your own devices using Apple's CloudKit — specifically, your private CloudKit database, part of your personal iCloud account. This data is encrypted and accessible only to you, signed in with your own Apple ID. We do not have access to it, cannot read it, and it is never transmitted to any server we operate — because we don't operate one.
Voice input. When you add a to-do by speaking — either through the in-app microphone button or by asking Siri — your speech is converted to text using Apple's on-device Speech framework and Apple's Siri system, respectively. Dew Crew does not record, store, or transmit your voice audio. Text generated from your speech is used only to create the to-do item you asked for. Siri interactions are also subject to Apple's own privacy practices, since Siri processes those requests entirely outside of Dew Crew's app process.
Notifications. If you set a due date, Dew Crew schedules a local reminder directly on your device using Apple's notification system. This does not involve any push notification server operated by us — it's entirely local to your phone.
Microphone permission. Dew Crew asks for microphone access so you can dictate to-dos. This permission is used only at the moment you tap the microphone button or speak to Siri; audio is not recorded or retained afterward.
What Dew Crew does not do
- No account creation or sign-in, beyond your existing Apple ID / iCloud (which Apple, not us, manages)
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs
- No advertising or ad tracking
- No sale or sharing of any data with third parties
- No access to your contacts, location, photos, or health data
Children's privacy
Dew Crew does not knowingly collect any information from children, since it does not collect any information at all beyond what's described above — which never reaches us.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of Dew Crew adds a feature that changes how data is handled — this page will be updated and the date above will change accordingly.
